Safety in Counsel

Have you read this? It is a great First Presidency Message in the June, 2008 Ensign magazine by President Eyring. I loved it and hope you will all read it and take it to heart. As I study the Book of Mormon for my Sunday School class, I continue to learn amazing things I should have picked up on before! But I loved the quote that "the best time to have decided to help Noah build the ark was the first time he asked. Each time he asked after that, each failure to respond would have lessened sensitivity to the Spirit." In todays tough world, I feel the need for the Spirit to guide me a lot and that is a great reminder on how we receive the guidance we want and need.

Dad had a great birthday and Father's Day if you count digging out some bushes and going to his Sunday meetings as great. (He didn't have to go until 8:30 Sunday am!) His lovely weather station came Monday and he is anxious to get it up. A great idea. I posted on the lugubrious delight the wonderful pork we had for his dinner and the tasty wheat pancakes we had for his breakfast-one of his favorites and we hadn't had in a long time.

That is our exciting life. Oh, yes, Elder Eyring (before) mentioned that we should be keeping a journal that we might bless the lives of our families. It is also very important in the Book of Mormon, so I'm suggesting we all start doing that, even if it is just a sentence a day or a paragraph a week, especially about spiritual experiences we might have. You don't have to share them with anybody, but I would suggest you make a hard copy and put it somewhere as computers are so fickle. that's it. Thanks for being my wonderful family. I love you!
If somebody will show me how to do pictures here, I will try that even! as part of my journaling!
