Neptune and his Mermaids

Have I mentioned how much I love having a swimming pool? Well, I love having a swimming pool. Especially because the munchkins love to swim. They are so cute and they really prefer when the heater has been turned on and the water is warm rather than freezing cold.

Greyson is quite the swimmer and can even get a penny off the bottom of the deep end--9 feet deep. It really is quite impressive for a six year old. But, poor kid, he is the only boy and most of the time the girls (Mel, Meggie & Michelle) don't want to get their hair wet, so he has nobody to play with in the pool. Luckily, my friend Marna lives here also and has a 9 & 11 year old that come to the pool quite often and love Greyson, so he does sometimes have boys to play with.

Brookie isn't so bad herself. She is a better swimmer than she gives herself credit for. She told me she couldn't get some rings because they were at 4 feet and that is too deep for her. She then proceeded to dive and get all three rings at that deepth.....not at once, she did have to go down three time and get each one at a time, but still she could get them.

Alyssa, well, that's a whole different story. She hates to wear her arm floaties....and I mean hate!! All she wants is to be held by somebody in the pool and definitely, don't dunk her under the water. She won't even float on a raft with somebody holding her. She has been know to scream as if we were trying to kill her when trying to get her to use said floaties or dunking her under the water. However, the other day, we had a major break through....she spent the last 30 or 40 minutes of our swim floating around on a raft with Greyson, Brookie, Allie and me. And, she loved every minute of it. We'll see what happens the next time she is here.

Even without the munchkins, I love having a pool because I can layout whenever I want and have a beautiful pool to cool off in. The best part is, very few people in the condos where I live utilize the pool, so most days I have it to myself. And, Meggie loves that I have a pool as she too can utilize it whenever she wants to layout as well!
